Overview of the doctoral examination procedure
- Displaying your dissertation project at the Academic Examination Office in accordance with Sections 5 and 6 of PromO 2014 (supervision agreement and acceptance as a doctoral candidate)
- Checking of the admission requirements for a doctoral degree in accordance with Section 7 (1) Numbers 1 and 2 as well as (2) of PromO 2014 by the doctoral degree examination committee
- Acceptance as a doctoral candidate
- Registration, if applicable
- Preparation of the dissertation
- Registration for the doctoral examination procedure (see current registration dates on our homepage)
- Processing of the application forms
- Submission of the dissertation in duplicate (adhesive binding/double-sided printing) according to the requirements stipulated in Appendix 1 of PromO 2014, and simultaneous registration for the procedure with the completed and bound documents at the Examination Office
- Oral examination during the first or second examination phase of the respective semester
- Permission for printing (Section 26 PromO 2014)
- Publication (Section 27 PromO 2014) and issuing the doctoral degree certificate
