After you have published your dissertation, submit the required number of obligatory copies (depending on the form of publication) to the Academic Examination Office. In addition, submit the original of your dissertation that was reviewed by your first examiner.

Your doctoral degree is formally conferred with the issuing of your doctoral degree certificate. Once you have received the doctoral degree certificate, you are entitled to hold a doctoral degree title. Prior to this, the doctoral degree title may not be used in any form (see Section 28 (6) of PromO 2014).
